Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you have an account. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval, your profile picture (if available) becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images on the site.

Contact Forms

When you contact us via a form on our site, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message. This data is used for client communication and service delivery purposes. We do not use form submissions for marketing unless explicitly authorized.

We take your privacy seriously. As a HIPAA-compliant practice, any health-related information shared with us through our website is handled in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Do not include sensitive health information unless using secure, designated forms.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not need to fill them in again. These cookies last one year.

Visiting our login page will generate a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies. This contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, cookies are used to save your login information and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days; screen options cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends login persistence to two weeks. Logging out removes these cookies.

When editing or publishing an article, an additional cookie will be stored that contains the post ID. It expires after one day and contains no personal data.
